Hayley is an American actress and singer. The most famous of her roles can be Erica Goldberg who stars in 'The Goldbergs,' a comedy TV show. However, she considers herself primarily as a musician. Music is the first passion she maintains; it is something she's dabbled into when she was just 9 years old. The first time she began to study professional music when she was 12 years old. After experimenting with songwriting, she only recorded her album of music covers when she was 14. The music has never stopped ever since. Orrantia was raised in the USA and yet she is of Hispanic roots. She's proud of the fact that she has Hispanic roots even though she was raised speaking English only and never lived in Mexico. To keep her heritage alive she's learning Spanish. Additionally, she creates songs using the Spanish language. One of her songs was an original Spanish song called 'Hasta Verte.' Orrantia tried out for The X Factor in 2011. Her YouTube video was chosen and she got four "yeses", or votes for the judges during the Seattle audition. She initially auditioned in the show "Hollywood Week" as a solo artist. Three other women singers and she were grouped together to perform other songs. They were eliminated from the program during the fifth live week.
