Pickler was born Kellie dawn Pickler June 28, 1986. She had a turbulent childhood. She was abandoned by her mother at the age of two to escape from an abusive relationship. In 1995, she was returned back to the world of Pickler, and took custody. However, it wasn't as planned. At the age of 12, the court returned Pickler to her grandparents - who took care of her until she reached adulthood. Since she was not with their parents Pickler became too busy being a parent to her kids. The mother of three confessed to her that in absence of parents, Pickler was too busy to attend school. She instead began in the process of learning to take care of her family members at a younger stage. Pickler was a member of her high school's and middle school's cheerleading team. North Stanly High School was the school where she graduated in the year 2004. Pickler had a go in the world of beauty contests. The title was Miss Stanly Country.
