Ina-Garten
Ina Garten has been an acclaimed American cook book author for a number of seasons. Ina is also the Emmy-winning host of Food Networks longest running show Barefoot Contessa and began its run in 2002. Ina began her career working at the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget as well as policy documents. Ina initially enjoyed the intellectual rigors that came with her work, but she quickly stopped her interest. Instead, she bought Barefoot Contessa, a specialty store for food. It was a huge success for 18 years, until she decided to let it go. Then she began writing her first cookbook. Many more cookbooks, and magazines columns that came later. Between them she also had her own Food Network show was also successful. In addition, she sells a variety of product from cooking ingredients to equipment and storage containers. Ina, who is self-taught, has never studied at the culinary institute or at an establishment. Ina's easygoing style of entertaining and her straightforward cooking style are well known. Her most well-known recipes include Skillet-Roasted Lemon Chicken Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac and Cheese Beef Bourguignon Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Lemon Bars.
